The six-month rule, read strictly
Vietnam expects your passport to stay valid well past your trip. Our guides state the requirement as six months beyond the end of your stay; some other sources anchor it to your arrival date instead. On a long trip those two readings differ by months, so this checker applies the stricter one — a passport that passes it satisfies either reading.
Timing, stated honestly
The statutory processing target is three working days for a complete application. Treat that as a legal target rather than a delivery date: applications can and do take longer in busy periods, and Vietnamese weekends and public holidays do not count toward it. This checker counts weekends only — it has no holiday calendar — so treat its day count as the optimistic case.
What it deliberately does not check
- Your entry port. The eVisa works only at the gates named on your application, and that list changes by resolution. Confirm your exact route against the current official list.
- Whether you need a visa at all. Use the visa checker for that.
- Your photo and scan quality. A human should look at those — it is most of what we do.

Details that do not match the passport. Names entered in the wrong order or with a middle name dropped, a photo that does not meet the portal's standard, an unreadable passport scan, or an entry port that does not match the actual itinerary.
