New Zealand Vietnam eVisa Pre-Submit Checklist
Free one-page checklist for New Zealand passport holders: name match, entry ports for connecting flights, photo rules and DIY timing before you pay on evisa.gov.vn. InTimeVisa is a private agent — not the Vietnamese government. Official portal: evisa.gov.vn.
- Passport valid at least 6 months beyond arrival, undamaged, with at least one blank page
- Full name on the form matches the passport bio page exactly — including every given name
- Portrait photo meets evisa.gov.vn rules; passport bio-page scan is sharp and uncropped
- Entry port is the Vietnamese airport where you first land — on a connection via Australia or Asia that is your final arrival airport in Vietnam, not the transit hub
- Exit port matches how you leave Vietnam — the eVisa works only at the ports you select
- Allow 3–5 working days for DIY processing on evisa.gov.vn (Vietnamese weekends/holidays do not count)
- Government fee is US$25 single-entry or US$50 multiple-entry — non-refundable once paid
- Only evisa.gov.vn is the official portal — a private agent must say it is private and show its all-in total before you pay
- Phu Quoc-only trips arriving directly on the island may qualify for the 30-day island exception — mainland travel needs the eVisa
Updated Oct 14, 2026. Government fees are non-refundable once lodged.
